- What is the Boys & Girls Club?
Boys & Girls Clubs have been providing after school programs
for children 6-18 years old in Southern Oregon since 1970.
We work to provide year-round positive, fun and safe places
and programs for all kids, helping them to build self-esteem
and develop skills necessary to make right choices, becoming
responsible and productive citizens. Our core programs
include:
- Character & Leadership Development
- The Arts
- Education & Career Development
- Sports, Fitness & Recreation
- Health & Life Skills
- Where are Clubs located throughout the Rogue Valley?
Currently Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley (BGCRV)
has 5 program locations: White City, Talent, Cave Junction,
Grants Pass, and Phoenix.
- What is the size of the organization?
BGCRV’s annual operating budget is $1.5 million, with 48
year-round employees and over 500 volunteers, serving over
6,000 youth each year. It is governed by 27 volunteer board
members residing throughout the Rogue Valley.
- How is the Club funded?
BGCRV is a private 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with 49%
of its income dependent on local community support through
contributions and special events. Other sources of revenue
include foundation grants and membership/program fees.
- How much is the membership fee?
While the cost for us to provide services averages over $500
per member, afterschool programs are FREE with the annual registration fee of
$40 per child and summer fees range from $50-$150 for an entire summer
(depending on locations).
