Volunteer Opportunities

The branch includes a game room, computer center, arts & crafts area with kiln and clay wheels, performing arts room with high definition movie projector, teen room with its own game tables and wide screen TV, classroom, kitchen with commercial range/oven and walk-in cooler, leadership meeting room, community partners office, 24 foot climbing wall in an outdoor courtyard, small gym and large gym with volleyball courts and 8 glass basketball hoops that adjust from 8-10 feet, and finally upstairs administrative offices. The outdoor grass playfield with the playground, built in 1999, remains a kid favorite.

A team of dedicated, professional staff welcomes approximately 200 – 350 members each and every day. Our programs and activities focus on 5 core areas including art, education, leadership, health and life skills, and social and physical recreation. We supplement our programs and activities with field trips to local museums, swimming pools, hiking and biking trails, libraries and other family destinations.

Busing to the Club is provided by Grants Pass School District and Three Rivers School District from Riverside, Allen Dale, Highland, Lincoln, Parkside, Redwood, Fruitdale, and Fort Vannoy Elementary Schools.  Please contact the school to arrange for your child to be bused to the Club.

The Boys & Girls Club offers youth development programs. Our drop-in / open-door facility is not a day care. It is the responsibility of the parent to communicate with the member participation and attendance arrangements including transportation to the Club and how/when they are leaving the facility. Youth may come and go to and from the Club as they are instructed by their parent. The Club does not take “care and custody” of the members like a daycare. For more information, contact the Club's administration office at 541-479-5258.
